The comments by motivational speaker Orapim "Best" Raksapol angered northeasterners as it appeared to cast doubt on their love for King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Ms Orapim made the comments in a speech to about 3,000 people at Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University on Jan 6. Mrs Tida, now chief advisor to the UDD, denied speculation that red shirts were using the clip to renew rifts in the country. The red shirts should not be dragged into the issue, she added.
